How to Play Sudoklash

Sudoklash has three play styles: quiet solo practice, competitive Duel Match, and Bot Arena races. This guide explains what each mode does and when points are used.

Mode Overview

Solo Challenge

Practice a hard Sudoku puzzle without a point cost. This is the best place to improve board reading, notes, and mistake control.

Duel Match

Spend 100 points to enter a live match. Both players solve the same puzzle and the winner takes the combined points.

Bot Arena

Race against rated bots. Bot Arena is separate from duel points and focuses on pace, clean entries, and progression.

Solo Challenge

  1. Choose Solo Challenge from the home screen.
  2. Tap an empty cell on the board.
  3. Use the number pad to enter a value.
  4. Turn Notes On when you want to mark candidates instead of placing a final number.
  5. Use Clear to erase a number you entered. Fixed puzzle clues cannot be changed.
  6. Use Hint when you want the app to reveal a helpful next move.

Solo Challenge is designed for practice. There is no entry fee, no opponent pressure, and no point reward. The goal is to build a cleaner solving rhythm before playing competitive modes.

Duel Match

Duel Match is the competitive mode. A duel requires points because both players contribute to the prize pool before the game starts.

Entry Cost and Prize

Quick Match

Quick Match searches for another player. When a real opponent is matched, both players must be ready before the game begins. This prevents the puzzle from starting while one player is still loading or away from the screen.

Private Room

Private Room creates a room code or shareable link. After both players enter the room, the game still waits until both players press the start button. This makes private matches fairer because both players intentionally agree to begin.

During the Duel

After the Game

When the puzzle ends, the result screen shows whether you won, lost, or drew. If players choose to play again, the game resets and waits for the required start confirmation again.

Bot Arena

Bot Arena uses the same board interaction style as Solo Challenge, but the goal is to beat a bot’s expected performance. Bots have ratings and play styles, so each match is a test of speed and accuracy.

Bot Arena progress is separate from duel points. It is meant as a skill ladder, not a point betting mode.
